New numbers show that Google Search's market share is holding up in the face of Microsoft's AI-enabled Bing incursion. They also said Google's share actually increased half of a percentage point, or 50 basis points, since late last year. The analysts also went a step further noting that the stock screens even more attractive when considering the its historic premium versus the market multiple. Multiple contraction since the launch of ChatGPT by Microsoft-backed OpenAI makes sense when you consider that any loss of Google Search market share would materially impact the company's largest revenue stream and make future growth harder to come by. Bottom line We're encouraged by the resiliency of Google Search, but any upward move based on multiple expansion will take time.

Now that ChatGPT unleashed a firestorm of interest in artificial intelligence investing, it may be time to urge some calm for investors. AI YTD mountain AI software provider C3.ai has seen its stock more than doubled as investors look to hop on the artificial intelligence trend. Here's the bear case for artificial intelligence. That's about seven times more than the cost to run a typical Google search, which Nowak estimated to be $0.003, or not even half of one cent. Separately, the lack of proper citation from generative AI could mean future lawsuits for AI companies.
To help the process, here are five stocks chosen by Wall Street's top pros, according to TipRanks, a platform that ranks analysts based on their track records. Hims & HersAnother stock that Feinseth has recently reiterated as a buy is the multi-specialty telehealth company, Hims & Hers (HIMS). Feinseth is confident in HIMS's strong brand equity and customer loyalty, which he expects will continue to drive business performance. BTIG analyst Ryan Zimmerman notes that the company stands to benefit from this space as larger players have mostly overlooked the opportunity. (See OrthoPediatrics Financial Statements on TipRanks) Last week, Zimmerman reiterated his buy rating and $62 price target on KIDS stock.
But the latest artificial intelligence trend taking the industry by storm could spell trouble for Google-parent Alphabet 's profitability near term, according to Morgan Stanley. This emerging threat, known as ChatGPT, went viral when it debuted in November, amassing a million users within days of its launch. Nowak estimates that every 10% of Google searches that shift to artificial intelligence, or natural language queries, could increase costs by $6 billion in 2025 for the tech company. To be sure, Google could overcome the challenges posited by ChatGPT and surprise analysts by creating a more efficient tool. "This, to us, speaks to GOOGL's challenge and the profit disruption threat as it looks to continue to innovate/lead while also protecting/delivering FCF for investors through a weakening macro environment with slowing ad growth," Nowak wrote.
ChatGPT — an artificial intelligence-powered chatbot — is having a viral moment, offering a high-profile glimpse at the maturing technology's capabilities. Like other GPT models, ChatGPT can generate text in a variety of styles and formats, including responses to questions, descriptions, and even entire conversations. The growth of Azure is central to our long-term investment thesis in Microsoft, and artificial intelligence is playing an increasingly prominent role in cloud computing. Additionally, Club holding Alphabet is no stranger to artificial intelligence — and, more specifically, machine learning. While all three models — ChatGPT, Sparrow and LaMDA — have their differences, they share a foundational network architecture known as Transformer.

Amazon (AMZN) received several mentions Tuesday from Wall Street analysts covering a range of topics. While including commentary on Alphabet and Meta from the note as a point of reference, we're mostly focusing on Amazon. From a top-down view, Morgan Stanley maintained that Amazon remains "strategically positioned" to take market share in e-commerce and enterprise spend "through/post downturn." From a bottom-up view, the analysts acknowledged that Amazon, along with other large-cap tech names, is finally taking its medicine. Jim waits 45 minutes after sending a trade alert before buying or selling a stock in his charitable trust's portfolio.
Revenue also came in short at $69.09 billion where Wall Street analysts anticipated $70.58 billion. Those weaker-than-expected results were driven by a slowdown in ad spending and a slip in revenue at YouTube, areas where analysts expected growth. Citi analyst Ronald Josey cut his price target on the company to $120 from $140 to reflect slower revenue growth and margin pressures. A leaner Alphabet Alphabet announced that it would slow hiring in the coming quarter in a move to increase efficiency. "We believe advertising, content and product sales are converging, and GOOGL appears to be ahead of this trend, which is promising."
Even amid worry that the U.S. is facing n a recession that will hit retailers, Amazon remains JPMorgan's best idea ahead of its third quarter earnings results, due Thursday. Still, the firm is bullish on Amazon — it has an overweight rating and a $175 price target on the company. The company should also benefit from lower freight and fuel costs relative to the first half of the year, as well as further rationalization of heavy pandemic spending. The company has a goal of returning retail margin levels to what they saw before the coronavirus pandemic. Elsewhere, Anmuth is encouraged by the cloud service AWS's $100 billion backlog and sees solid growth for the sector going forward.
